Recording an Audio Sample of The Brass Queen

Recently, I recorded a sample chapter from my work in progress, The Brass Queen. Many writers post excerpts from their upcoming novels. As an actor, I thought it would be fun to head into the studio and record an audio version.

I had the pleasure of working with the incredible voice talent George Ledoux.

George has the ability to bring to life any type of character at the drop of a hat. It was such a pleasure to hear him in action creating the voices of Trusdale, Hearn and Cawley. There aren’t many voice actors who can create a cowboy, a carriage driver and a curmudgeon servant on the spot. George did so with gentlemanly style and aplomb.  I’m looking forward to working with him again in future!

Matt Berky is a truly outstanding studio engineer at Massive Productions in Connecticut. Matt chose the perfect sound effects to accompany the narration, from horses snorting to explosions. These effects add to the immersive experience of visiting the alternate history of The Brass Queen.

You can hear the recording here.

Thank you, George and Matt!
